    what i have found for my j-frame .357mag is the gold dot 135 grn.357mag short barrel. out of my 2 1/8'' barrel i chronographed at a little over 1000fps. it kicks a bit but no where near full power loads, like a ++p .38. i think its a good compromise.

    I'll be purchasing an SP101, even though I think the 17oz 357 LCR will make an excellent 38Spl launcher.
