My newest addition... my first 1911!!
For the centennial anniversary of the 1911, I finally got my first one (nerd alert, I have wanted one ever since I read the first appearance of Duke in G.I.Joe #22
). And here it is -- a Metro Arms American Classic II, hard chrome version:

I don't usually like shiny guns, but this one really caught my eye. These pics were taken with my cell phone, hence the poor quality. LOL, I was in such a hurry to post the pics, I didn't even get all of the oil wiped off of it. I have put 50 rounds of FMJ through it without any failures of any kind, still have to start trying some JHP rounds. The grips are functional, but they are probably going to be replaced soon, maybe a nice set of maple burl or ebony stocks. Now the search for a holster begins... any suggestions?

Great looking 1911 but remember you will not be able to stop at only one. Any type of burl wood will make a fine looking set of grips.

Nice purchase. Hope it gives you years of joy.

Very nice. Congrats! Just be aware that it might be your first 1911, but absolutely not your last.
