    $900+

How is the reliability on these little pistols? I would expect them to be Glock-like for that price.

And how's the recoil compared to a lightweight snubby like a 642?

Reliability is overall very good but have to admit there are some folks who have had problems. In most cases when a gun has gone back it has been shown to shoot fine, tho there were one or two specific issues cropped up which the company dealt with real quick. Customer service is outstanding.

It is for sure a very pricey gun but remember too how there are some high end much larger semi's that also can be fickle for some - plus this gun is cutting edge re miniaturization. It is not for everyone either due to price or small size.

Recoil is manageable and IMO needs a refined grip to suit - but not worse IMO than a 642 category snub. Let's say - like many small platforms - it is not totally pleasant to shoot for a huge session thruput of ammo but when you regard it as a 9mm that is very easily concealed and probably for close to ''bad breath'' ranges, it is a superb tool.

Trigger BTW is a smooth as butter 7lb DAO pull and the trigger mechanism is ingeniously simple. Anyone wanting to read more about aspects of the gun, including some of the odd problems encountered - check out the FAQ link in my sig line.

Nice photos Los! I know you will enjoy it.

My R9S has been flawless through 500+ rounds. I usually carry it while in the office, though lately I carry my glock in a K&D paddle holster that I stick in my briefcase when I get there, but I digress. I will carry the R9 in a pocket holster for several weeks and then take it to the range and shoot the two mags of ammo in the gun and spare. I then give it a cleaning, load fresh ammo, and back in the pocket it goes till next session.

I bought mine sight unseen and was very pleased with my purchase. I have never seen one in any gun shop/show I have been to.

I'm taking her to the indoor Range tomorrow morning to find out I'll also be taking my video camera to capture some of the action.

So please stay tuned for a little video clip I intend to do download on this Thread showing everyone the recoil and accuracy these Guns have.
