    Got my Rohrbaugh today!

Well, my Kimber Ultra Carry is gone. It was a great carry weapon but I know I won't be dissapointed with the decision I made to replace it with a Rohrbaugh R9s.

I picked-up my R9s this afternoon. You should've seen ALL the customers surround me when I opened the case. Most of the customers didn't know what a Rohrbaugh was. Some had only heard of the Firearm but had never actually seen one.

While everyone was looking at it and asking me questions, a customer pulled out his Kel-Tec 380 cal to compare sizes. He didn't say much but did ask what the unloaded weight was. Of course, he was very surprised to learn it only weighed 12.8 oz. They all couldn't believe how small, light and how well made the R9s was. A few assumed it was made of Titanium.

I allowed everyone to hold it and one customer even asked if he could pull the Trigger. I hesitated a bit but allowed him to do it. He told everyone how impressed he was on how smooth the trigger pull felt.

    They were all extremely impressed!!

As I left the store after the Transfer was done, ...EVERYONE thanked me for showing them my Rohrbaugh.

Thinking back,....I didn't even get a chance to hold the Gun till I got home.

Thought I'd share the excitement with y'all.

Congrats los - amazing still how few have heard of the pup.

Hope you'll enjoy - and perhaps post about that on the R Forum.

To remind others what the lil fella looks like - here is an early one.

Thanks Guys. You know, I've never owned or fired a 9MM. Always owned/carried 45acp 1911s. I hope the "9 bite" ain't too big!

los, nice choice. I have been looking at the the R9s for quite some time and will probably end up with one myself as my back up. I have been admiring P95's for awhile and I thought I was going with a Kahr but every time I go to get one I just can't bring myself to leave the gun shop with one.

Thanks Chris. My digi cam's usb port is acting a little crazy tonight so I couldn't upload any photos. My PUP has the darker grey CF grips and the dark frame. S/N is in the low 530s.

Your PUP, I believe, is a first edition/production Rohrbaugh having those famous blue grips and matching "white" frame. I'm sure it also has a very low S/N?

    BEAUTIFUL indeed!

The Owner of the Gun Shop where I did the Transfer carries a Kahr and always shows it to new customers that come into his Store. But after seeing the reation he (everyone) had when he saw and held my R9s,.....I honestly believe he's soon going to acquire a "new carry weapon" in the near future.

He wanted to know if I knew of any Rohrbaugh Distributors/wholesalers in Texas. I told him that there were no wholesalers at all, so I think he's actualy going to contact Rohrbaugh directly for a personal purchase and to possibly becoming a retailer!

    He was very impressed!

I would love to get one in hand to see how it feels and handles. I have yet to find anyone in this rural area of MO that doesn't say "a what" when you ask if they have one in stock. I've liked its looks and the thought of a 9mm pocket gun is ideal for me

Jimmy - that first R9 of mine is an early ''Farmingdale - SN is in the 300 zone but note - no ''R'' prefix - it would have been approx #200 out the door.

My later one (and the one I have for carry, the other is now a safe queen!) - is the grey frame and also is just over 300 S/N but now WITH and "R" prefix.

You have seen this pic I expect but here are both - The ''Farmingdale Twins'' as I call them

Rocnerd - thanks for that comparison photo.
I sure hope to actually see one in person someday. As Bill MO said, not too many in rural Missouri....
Hope to get to Tulsa this fall - would probably run across one there. Maybe.
