Vote in this Poll...Would you carry while hiking?

    Hey all,

I am shamelessly promoting my blog, and trying to drive some traffic by offering up a poll for readers to participate in. Hopefully it will draw some attention. Of course, I'd like to see our side well represented in the poll question.

So, please vote, and if you are interested in the blog at all, feel free to subscribe! (also feel free to check out my blog posts about my shooting outings!)

What a bunch of crazy gun-nuts!! You would actually carry when hiking!!

Glad I'm in good company I carry my G30 and an extra 10 round mag when hiking. I've read other commentaries on the subject saying it was ridiculous, etc. especially when trying to "lighten" your load when day hiking. My thought is...if I can't carry it with me, I'm not going.

Ok, I voted and I really can't imagine anyone voting no, but maybe that's the whole point. Then again, there are those tree huggers in California and Colorado.

BTW: I know I read it somewhere or saw it on TV, but more people are likely to be assaulted while hiking than in a New York subway. Predators love the secluded wilderness as they can commit their acts with virtually no witnesses, and the average jogger/hiker isn’t expecting trouble in that setting. Unfortunately, I have some first-hand knowledge in that area.

I do not understand the purpose of the poll. It is almost like asking "If you played on a baseball team, would you bat when it was your turn to bat?"

Therefore, if there are any "No" votes, it is probably a gag vote.l
