    I'm so weak

I promised myself that I would demonstrate some self-discipline by not purchasing a firearm this year. No particular reason other than I like to test myself in areas where I suspect weakness.

Today, I stopped by an LGS and saw a lightly used stainless PM9 with night sights for $500. It is pristine, and it is killing me... I managed to walk out without buying, but I'm obsessing about it now.

I don't need it. I have more 9's than I can count, including a G26 and PF9. It just dissapeared in the palm of my hand, and I'm thinking that it really could work as a pocket-9 (even the PF9 is a little too long and tall for that on me).

I'm holding off for now. Hopefully I won't be posting any pics...

I've been saying the same thing to myself for the past several years. You'de make me feel better about my own weakness if you caved in too! "Misery" loves company!

I said the same thing and just bought another one. Go ahead then I won't feel so bad!

That's a better deal than I got on mine. I got my PM9 with night sights, (with probably less than 50 rounds through it), for $559. I hope I'm helping you to be strong and resist that urge to scratch the itch. I'm not familiar with the PF9 so I can't say what it is like compared in size. I don't pocket carry most of the time. I have once or twice in cargo shorts, but that was even an LCP. I don't see how anyone could pocket carry a PM9 or any gun as heavy or heavier, or as large or larger. I can't stand that much weight in my pocket. I'd rather have it on my belt. I'm not saying it's heavy, but compared to an LCP it is.

If you already have a PF9 and you can't pocket carry it, I'd say you probably won't the PM9. I could be wrong.. but ... trying to help you out here.

Everyone else will try and help you to make up your mind to get it. It is a good deal but do you reeeaaally need it ? Do you?

I mean, that's why you have a small light snub for right? To pocket carry right? You do have one of those don't you? If not, you might have to get one of those too. Did you think about that?

LOL I'm just messin with ya. Hmmm quite a quandary you have here. Did I tell you I love my PM9 with night sights? So easy to conceal under a loose t-shirt in a J.I.T. slide. Some like to wear them AIWB.

Hope I was able to help.

Well go buy it and tell yourself you couldnt sleep at night if you let that deal pass by. Its a health issue now. Then you can resume discipline...well armed.

What you waited until April and have not bought a new firearm yet this year. What kind of DC member are you? I have not bought any this year either but I bought 3 last year, all used mind you and all great deals like yours. You know if you do not take advantage of this deal you will regret it. As others have said give in to your desires you will feel much better in the morning.

Maybe you should compromise and buy one for someone else?

A deal like that doesn't fall under the category of self-restraint (or the lack thereof).
Imagine an art dealer stumbling on an original Monet selling for pennies on the dollar.
He/she would mortgage his/her house if need be in order to purchase it.
And anyway, you can always reset your 'self-control calendar' for the day after your purchase.

You should have not gone into the gunstore in the first place. I think you should punish yourself for going in the gunstore by buying the Kahr.
