I believe the slide not locking open was a magazine related issue, I don't think it was anything major. After giving the LC9 several weeks to see if I could fall in love with it, I didn't and traded it back to my gun shop. The gun didn't suit my needs. The poor trigger, narrow grip, magazine safety, manual safety (on a double action), flag loaded chamber indicator all added up to a pistol I didn't shoot well with features I didn't care for.
I traded it for a new Kahr CM9 which I find to be the best 9mm pocket auto so far. It has a great trigger, no manual safety, no magazine safety, fits my hand better and I find it to be superbly accurate.

Gotta give "props" to RUGER....their Customer Service is EXCELLANT and is well documented.
Having said that, the LC9 has been on a short list for my next gun including the KAHR CW9, PM9 and KEL-TEC PF9.........
but I believe the LC9 is on the bottom of this short list..........
Good for RUGER though, all manufacturers should be that responsive!
I love mine.Very accurate and reliable. That's hard to come by(for me).The trigger took a little getting used to.Wouldn't sale it for 600.
