Sold G23 for Sig P228 for CCW

I found a sig P228 9mm w/hi viz night sights, LNIB,made in germany today at local range.Sold my
G23 to get it. It's close in size to the glock just a bit heavier but point
and shoot grip is great. I don't mind the extra weight since I carried a
springer 1911 and a all ss kimber. I have not been to the range yet but
9mm is more affordable for range time which I like and I have some great
hornady and win. SD ammo for carry. I will miss my G23 but I was told by friends that sig is as good as it gets!
I'm still going to get myself a little .38 snub for those hot steamy fla. days. Otherwise my sig will be my CCW.

Thanks, always wanted one but always cost more than I had.
The G23 was a great shooter and nice to carry but want to give
Sig it's due while I have the chance.

I actually have both guns and they are both great guns. The g23 hides better for me. But the 228 is a SHOOTER. You will want a Glock back, but enjoy the Sig you didnt go wrong.

I've just been messin with them both all afternoon and not sure I made the right choice only because the G23 conceals much better for me being 5'9 170 but the sig is so nice but hiding it here in the sunny state of fla is hard
to find good firepower in a small reliable pkg.

I second that, and I also believe you will return to the dark side. I just bought a used SIG 229 E2 but was fortunate enough that I didn't have to sell any of my Glocks to do it.

    Happy trails!

Just pked up cash for glock 23 today. It's a sad day at that. Yes I sold my G23, somebody slap me!!! But I may have a friend who may trade me either a G27 gen 3 or a G19 gen 4 w/cash for the Sig,waiting to hear back. I should have listened to my daughter and left the store where i bought the sig and I would still have my g23! If I can't trade it or sell it before weekend i'll sell it or trade it at local show.

Well, I think the Sig is the better gun but I'm biased on that point. You sure couldn't have chosen a more different gun to trade for. The Glock is striker fired; the Sig is hammer fired with a decocker; the bore axis for the Sig is very different than for the Glock; the grip angle is different for the two guns; the Glock has a 5.5lb trigger and the Sig. has two different trigger pulls.....

But, with a bit of range time I would bet you can get used to the Sig and maybe even prefer it over the Glock. BTW, the width of the two guns is almost the same so concealing the Sig shouldn't be a problem with a good holster.
