    Post LC9..finally..

Well folks I got lucky last saturday, I was doing my saturday visits to our local gunshops and law and behold there it is an LC9 sitting right in the display case!, so i ask one of the guys if I can see it and then asked if I can trade my LCP which i was carrying that day(only shot 100 rounds) he looked in his case and they are out of LCP's so long story short I am now carrying an LC9. I liked the LCP but 9mm is a lot cheaper to shoot and gives me a little more punch and an extra round. the price tag was $340,I added $100 to seal the trade. I shot 100 rounds today and i'm glad i did the trade, lock back on the last round, better sights, not too heavy compared to the LCP and I can actually afford to shoot it a lot! anyway here is a video to show that recoil is just like any other small 9mm and ofcourse some pics too..

Sounds like a good trade in the right direction. The LC9 looks just like a scaled up LCP.. Congrats

Sounds like you did pretty good and came out with a handy carry piece.

In the next to last pic, there is a large red bar visable on the top of the slide. Is that the loaded chamber indicator? That's a very prominant protrusion. The few guns I have with loaded chamber indicators they barely stick up at all. Can you get a better pic of that for us to give us an idea of how far that really sticks up there? I'm just interested since I haven't seen one in person. Thanks.

Nice carry piece you have there! At first I wasn't too keen on the LC9 as it has a magazine disconnect safety that I personally do not care for, but lately I have been warming up to the LC9. If I had one I would see what a good gunsmith could do about that magazine safety.

Congrats on the new LC9. I will keep my LCP in my carry rotation for those times when it is more appropriate for certain clothes, but I prefer to carry my LC9. Plus like the OP said, 9mm is so much cheaper to shoot that it gives me the ability to afford more practice.

As for the LCI, it isn't the prettiest thing but it does not impede the sights IMO.

Good deal. How's that trigger working out for you?

I don't own a 9mm (well, I do have a 9mm Mak), don't own a pocket pistol, but the thought has been bouncing around in the noggin lately and the LC9 seems to fill the requirements I'd like one to have. I really like the improved sights, don't care either way about the Mag disconnect, and can live with the over-engineered chambered round indicator (minor issue). I've never shot a pocket pistol, so I'll have to see how the small grip works out.

Hope you enjoy your new gun and the cheaper rounds!
