Night sights???
Hey there Guys/Gals--- I've been thinking about Mepro (?) sights for my M&P 9mm Compact, but don't know what would be best if I go for it. Any suggestions as to what I should think about or look at? Also, if it is able to be self installed, it had better be EASY! Thanks in advance.

Meps or Trijicons...either would be just fine (I have both). My Trij's are all green and my Meps are green front/yellow rear. I prefer the all green. I have my gun shop install them...they do it at no charge when I buy them there. It only takes a few minutes.

I shoot outdoors at a covered range. Honestly, I have a very hard time seeing my Meprolight night sights in that environment. I replaced those Meps with a set of Truglo TFO sights..........makes a big difference. The fiber optics work day or night. I really like them.

There was a good review with photos of those a few days ago in this forum.
Sorry I would look for it but I'm using my phone right now so kind of hard.

All my Glocks have TFOs, the other guns I have with nite sights are a mix of brands but I prefer all green dots regardless of who makes the sights. I never liked the dual color dots.

The only night sights I will use now are the TFO's. I have used all the top names and the problem with most night sights is they wash out in bright sun light. If you have type I diabetic like me it sure don't help. The TFO's are so bright during the day you would swear they had tiny batteries inside them, lol!!! Don't use a hammer and a punch. Either pay someone who has a sight pusher, or buy one yourself. Not sure where you live but if you are close to me I will do it for you.

I've always used Meps or Trijicons. I like the smaller dot of the Trijicons a bit better. Green/Green.

I like Mepros. During the day its just a normal three dot sight. At dusk and later its three very recognizable green dots. It works for me.

THANKS for all the input. I just ordered the Mepros (?) in all green. Hope this will do the job.

I'd have a gunsmith do it,M&P sights are really tight and the safety plunger and spring are retained by it also. If your not expecting it you'll launch the spring and spacer for the safety plunger.
