Cool Finally joined the 1911 fan club

Well, after many years of waiting and thinking that maybe someday I'd get one I went and bought my first 1911. My local gunshop had one that just really caught my eye and seemed to balance perfectly in my hands. So now I have taken over the care and feeding of a Sig Sauer 1911 C3 with Crimson Trace laser grips. Pics will be forthcoming of the new arrival, a range report will have to wait until the weather is a bit better though.

Welcome to the fold! I just bought my first, a Springer, on Friday and have shot it 3 out of the past five days!! They are a great weapon and shooting one is like a little history tour!! Enjoy!! But beware, from what I am told you can't have just one!!

    Great, ain't it?!

Sounds like you picked a good one. Photos would be great.

Well, sorry for hurting you Hiram, but I figured if I was gonna spend that kind of money I'd but the one I REALLY wanted for my first 1911, and thank you for the well wishes. I take it that you really like the Sig C3?

Cosmo, I took the long way around and tried to love as many handguns as I could, but when it feels right you just have to buy "the one"

Now onward in search of a holster as I have read that not all 1911 holsters will accomodate a Sig. Hopefully I'll be able to have some pics posted by tommorrow evening sometime as working full time and going to school full time is a real drag on the spare time.

Ahh 1911s are somewhat addictive, I currently have five and am planning on adding a Ruger 1911 as soon as I can find one.

Congrats on your Sig. I had the dehorned version of the C3, the RCS. Loved it and wish I still had it. Of course it would be a safe queen now that I have my CBOB.
