    Cool XD Subcompact 9mm

I was thinking about getting the XD sub 9mm. I already have a G27 .40. Anyone else own this little semi? Thoughts/experiences on it? I like the G26, but i have a 27... i can turn it into a 26 with a barrel and clip change.

Quite a few folks have this gun - and in fact a search on it would very probably yield some great info for you.

The XD series has really caught on this last year or so.

I dont have a sub, but I can vouch for the XD line of pistols as I have both the .40 bi-tone and the .45 in 4'' barrels. I have never had, nor do I expect to have any prodlems from either XD, and I have a feeling that a sub-Xd is going to be in my posession soon. (just bought a Kel-Tec p-11 though, so it might have to wait)

HSU, how do you like the Keltec p-11?? I have been waiting for the pf9? i believe, to come out. I have no exp. with any kel-tecs and neither does anyone i know to be honest, but my Girlfriend really liked the pf9 (hope i have that model right, the pictures i saw of it was an all black sub with a large checkered-like grip) How do you feel about kel-tecs now that you own one?

I have an XD 9mm SC and have found it quite accurate and reliable. Not a single malfunction so far.

Do you not like the G27 .40? Why would you want to change it to a 9mm. I have the G27 and absolutely love it. I had a 9mm prior but like to .40 much better. The G27 fits great in my ankle and CTAC holsters. I have a friend with the XD but he likes his g26 better.

Ruger, I LOVE the G27. I was simply stating that I did not have a 9mm subcompact weapon, and thought it was useless to get a 26 when i already have a 27 and can just change my 27 into a 26 if i wanted to. I don't want to. Wow thats a lot of numbers. If you arent confused now, reply again and Ill give it another shot.

Just picked it up on saturday for $239, so I havent had a chance to take it to the range yet.....maybe thurs or friday I can get out and put some lead downrange with it. I already know that I dont really like the trigger on it..but hey it is a pocket sized pistol, in a respectable caliber, for a very respectable price. I like my P-3AT(now my Dad's), despite the fact that Kel-Tecs are rough pistols. BUT, the point of a KT is to have a pistol that youre more likely to carry all the time, even in Inferno heat, with sport shorts and a tank top on. I really like the fact that I will be able to clip it on my running outfit, and have 11 9mm rounds on me even while out walking the dogs or doing some light running.

Basically if youre looking for a target pistol put your money somewhere else, but if youre looking for affordable, and light concealment pistol that can fit in your pocket and not burn a hole in it...the KelTec is a good option.

Ill be sure to put up a range report when I wring it out this weekend.

I have an XD9SC! It's a great gun, so far. I have 400 rounds through it with no malfunctions! I got some Pearce Grip extensions for the magazines yesterday and it helps a lot!

I have the XD-9 SC in 9mm. It is my "normal" carry gun during the summer. Accurate, fits my hand just right, with the Pearce grip extensions added. Great gun, give it a 9 out of 10.
