This may (or may not) be the proper thread to post this question. If not - I apologize.
I am currently in possession of a Colt 45 Model 1911 with the serial number 451911. I imagine there aren't too many of those floating around and I would like to get a baseline estimate on how much it's worth for insurance purposes. Anybody have any ideas? Who would I take it to in order to find out?? Any advice will be most helpful!!

:frown: Well, I'm down to 4. Fusion 10mm CCO, Lew Horton/Colt Night Commander, Dan Wesson CCO and Colt SS Government. A Chambers Custom on the way will be 5.
I had two, both Kimbers. The Desert Warrior and SIS Pro. I only have the Desert Warrior now, the SIS Pro was a piece of **** so I got rid of it. So glad I got a Glock 19 to replace it as a carry gun. I only keep the Desert Warrior around because it was my first pistol. One of these days I may get another, but probably won't. I never shoot the one I have anymore as it is and the price of another paper weight could buy me a lot of 9mm ammo :wink:
