- Grandfather's Springfield 1911 that someone worked over before he got it. I really need to get it into a gunsmith since it's having some issues.
- GSG 1911-22. I love it except the grip safety needs a speed bump. Sometimes I don't get my hand high enough to disengage it.
I am looking at getting a Rock Island Armory this year. I'd love to get a Colt as well.

I am currently in possession of a Colt 45 Model 1911 with the serial number 451911. I imagine there aren't too many of those floating around and I would like to get a baseline estimate on how much it's worth for insurance purposes. Anybody have any ideas? Who would I take it to in order to find out?? Any advice will be most helpful!!
+-------That serial number will have a positive effect on the value....but condition will dictate the value. Any pics?

Got my first one last month: Colt Combat Commander, SS, Series 80 with CT laser grips. I'm in love and want another. I like the look of the compact Kimbers but not sure if they'd give me fits with their smaller barrel. It'd be nice to have a smaller one for warmer weather.

Only two as of today. Remington R1 Enhanced and a Colt New Agent.
Gun Control: The theory that a woman found raped and dead in an alley, strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker took two to the chest.
Had one, isn't for me I guess.
Well, I'm down to 4. Fusion 10mm CCO, Lew Horton/Colt Night Commander, Dan Wesson CCO and Colt SS Government. A Chambers Custom on the way will be 5.

I had two, both Kimbers. The Desert Warrior and SIS Pro. I only have the Desert Warrior now, the SIS Pro was a piece of **** so I got rid of it. So glad I got a Glock 19 to replace it as a carry gun. I only keep the Desert Warrior around because it was my first pistol. One of these days I may get another, but probably won't. I never shoot the one I have anymore as it is and the price of another paper weight could buy me a lot of 9mm ammo
