I love mine. It is the only pistol I have owned that has fed, fired, and ejected every round I have fed it. It is still new, with about 300 round through it. It feels great in my hand, and has a very comfortable recoil. Less than two 380's I own. Fit and finish is great. Shoots where I point it. Highly recommended.

I have a Stoeger Cougar .45ACP as my HD firearm. Mine has been perfect thus far. Probably my favorite handgun that I own.

Recently Acquired a Stoeger Cougar 8040F...
I had a T/C .308 deer rifle for sale. I was asked about possible trade w/cash. Long story short, I now own a used, excellent condition, Stoeger Cougar 8040F that came w/11rd mags x; & 15rd mag x1. I did some Internet research, this thread was very helpful, and was pleased to find the direct Baretta connection. I plan on a Range visit in the very near future. One of my favorite holster brands is Blade-Tech. I've ordered both an OWB & IWB holsters. Already, did a Field Strip / Clean.

I had one and it ran flawless as well. I ended up selling it just two days ago - it's just not a gun for carry because of it's weight. For a home defense gun, I think it's excellent.
I went ahead and sold it for a XDm 45acp compact - lovin it.
The buyer of the Cougar was in love too. They're good guns.

I own one and love it!!! It is a blast to shoot....I think this is one of the most under rated guns out there.... Everytime I shoot this gun, I have a smile on my face, it is that much fun to shoot!!! I highly recommend it!!
