Who says Glocks are ugly? :-p

I've been looking at my new Glock 23, and as I've gotten used to it, I've found that I'm finding it more and more attractive. I don't know what it is about it, but for some reason I'm finding that it's not as ugly as I once thought.

It's not the most attractive gun - I personally love the look of the HK pistols and the SIGs aren't too bad either, but I personally don't find the Glock to be as ugly as some apparently do.

    Anybody else feel the same?

Yep, Glocks aint ugly. Much better looking to me than the "power tool" look of the XDs. And whats up with those M&Ps? Jeeeez...they look like a souped up High Point. My Gen4 G22 laying on its side looking at me from the barrel is hotter than my sweet wife on valentines day.

Beauty is a subjective matter, and in no way represents the quality of the firearm. In my personal and subjective opinion XD's, M&P's and Glocks cannot be blamed for being pretty . However, I consider that Glocks are the less bad looking of all three.

I'm seeing Glocks in a different light these days. I see them as having sort of a restrained elegance having nothing to do with flash or decoration. An austere beauty. All foolishness pared away leaving simple excellent function. Okay, that's laying it on a bit thick but I really have come to like Glocks.

I still prefer the classic looks of a revolver, but when you add in all the attributes of the Glock pistol, it is beautiful.

Have to admit they do look better than Hi-Points.

    Are we still measuring beauty?

    from close range?

    I'll take a Pete Rose 35 or a Jackie Robinson 34

    any day

    at close range.

Those strange Golcks do give me pause -

I think Glocks have an "inner beauty" that comes out and makes you think they are good looking.

    Compared to what?

I have a Glock 23 that has a hard chromed slide, giving it some degree of distinction from a plain Glock with a black slide. After looking at it for 12 years I don't think it looks too bad. If you put it next to another gun that is considered attractive, like my Sig P245, it doesn't compare badly.

Pretty is as pretty does. My 26 / 27 / 33 / 36 are all easy to carry, work, and offer "sufficient" power = beautiful
No internal lock or magazine disconnect on my pistols!
