A cold day in Hades...the 9c is looking good to me.

Last week at the range, I had the chance to smash some steel plates with a M&P9c. I've shot them before, and at those times I was less than impressed. It was nice, but nothing spectacular. IMO, the closest competitor, the G19, blew it out of the water.
Fast forward a few years later and back to last week, I gave the 9c another go. This time, I really liked the gun. In fact, there was nothing I did not like. It did have the Apex kit, so the trigger was more closely in line with what a combat 9mm trigger should be. I was still faster and more accurate with my 228, but I think that is because I have far more trigger time behind that gun. I shot a G19 right after the 9c, and quickly went back to the M&P... that's very strange for me. Maybe it was because I've spent very little time on the Glocks the past few years, (I've actually sold off most of my own) and I'm more open to something different as a result.

Anyway, now I'm intrigued and strongly considering adding a new platform to my stable.

Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes an open mind allows us to make new discoveries, sometimes to our advantage.

I like trying new things...and sometimes old things again. Our tastes change in lots of ways over time. Glad you've "re-discovered" something to your liking.

    Sixto,

The M&P9c is my EDC and as many know I have been carrying the flag for this firearm. It has proven reliable and has been a good shooter.

For the life of me, I don't know why anyone would want a stable of the same make firearms. Where's the variety in life? I don't look at any of mine as better or worse than the others, although I confess my CZ-82 is a sweetie! But in a pinch, I'd pick up any of them to defend my life. If I didn't feel that way, I wouldn't own the gun.

Yup. Sometimes I'll dig one out of the safe and fall in love all over again. I may go back to carrying a J-frame for the summer.

Today was just another perfect example of why I love S&W. I call them for a little part that I broke on my 686 revolver and told them It was my fault and that I would like to purchase it. They didn't not even ask for a serial number, just my address so then can send me the part for free.

Nooo. I didnt want to read this.. I had some shooting time at the range yesterday with my FNP9 and I didnt click with it like I did the first time. I found myself putting it down and going back to my CW9. I have been looking at the M&P9 and 9c. I have loved my FNP since I got it but yesterday it didnt feel the same. :(
