glock will always out vote in a poll so making a poll is silly.....buy the gun that you like most, not what your message board trols vote on
I own both and both are reliable and great products ..Glocks have 1000x more after market options also, the ruger has none
I am a Glock man as far as pistols go so I have to vote for the 26 just because I have one but versatility also has to go with the Glock in my opinion. I love Ruger revlovers but I don't care much for their Autos
I think the 26 is the best gun Glock makes and it's a classic. Everyone should eventually own one. That being said, if someone is completely new to shooting I'd recommend the Ruger. It's much more forgiving with all the safeties built-in.

Own both. The Ruger SR9c is my EDC because I shoot it better. Better trigger and fits my hand better.
Not even close the Ruger Sr9c
It may not have the Cool sounding Glock name but hands down better
I had a Glock 27 and regret selling it. I handled a Ruger and its nice to but the simplicity of the Glock can't be beat. Point and shoot without having to fumble for an extra switch. They are very accurate and second to none in reliability.
GLOCK!!! Hands Down.

I spent some time today with a SR9c and it was a very comfortable and instinctive shooter. If they ever make one without the external safety i'd consider it. Awesome price as well.
Sorry, I haven't rendered a G26/SR9c comparison chart, yet.. But these charts gives us a good idea on size between the two..:

What we've got here is failure to communicate.
IMHO this is a no-brainer. I would take a Ruger revolver over anything on the market today but in a semi-auto pistol it's Glock all the way, and that's all I have to say about that! I put my money where my mouth is: 1-Ruger Stainless Single-six convertible, 1-Ruger Stainless Redhawk in .44 mag., 1- Ruger LCR in .357 mag., 1- Glock G-26, 1- G-30SF & counting.
I chose a Ruger SR9c and am thrilled with my decision. It has been totally reliable, fits my hand perfectly, was perfectly accurate out of the box, has the sweetest trigger imaginable ... and I choose to use the external safety while carrying chambered since the trigger is very light. I could not be happier with this purchase!
Once you practice with the sr9c the safety isn't a problem, without even thinkin about it I disengage the safety as I draw it and it doesn't slow me down at all.
I have a SR9c, and I really like it. Several hundred rounds fired and no malfs. of any kind. My edc. Can't say anything about the Glock, never owned one. If the safety is what you don't like about it, just leave it the fire position all the time. Trigger safety still works just like the Glock. Isn't it great that we all have a choice to own what we like!
