    Got the bug again...

As I sit here in DC without my guns. I've got a week left here and I've suddenly got the bug to buy another gun. I'm definitely thinking handgun but which one????
Things that come to mind off hand are a snubby .38 or .357, 1911 style .22 lr, another 1911 .45

    Any other suggestions? Thoughts?

Oh and I currently have: Springer Ultra compact 1911, Taurus TCP .380, and a S&W 6 inch .38.

Really, no collection is complete without a J-frame off some variety.

Well, I believe that no collection is complete without a Colt Government 1911 and a BHP 9mm.

And isn't that a great thing about collecting guns, there is always something else that would just perfectly fill an open niche in the collection.

I'd say the gaping hole in your handgun battery is a .22. Look for a used Ruger Mk II autoloader (MkIII is ok, but too many non-value-added features) and add some Volquartsen parts to give it a really crisp trigger. Your total investment will come in under $400. I've got a pair of Mk IIs - one a target model, the other a 22/45, both with 5-1/2" bull barrels. After training with the big boomers, there is nothing so rewarding and relaxing as squeezing off some low-cost, low-recoil rounds with the .22 auto.

    A J-frame and a G19.

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.
