    Buying Glock 30

I'm buying a Gen 3 Glock 30 from a DC member, Dragman, and it should be here sometime next week. Got a good price and I was looking for a non-1911 .45ACP. I'll have to see how it feels and how I shoot it once it gets here...if all goes well it may make it into my carry line-up. If not, I think I can get my money back out of it. I'll post some pics when it gets here and I'll post a range report also. We'll see when it gets here.

I liked shooting the 30. It was very accurate but decided to go with the 36. The 30 was just heavy for ECD, IMO.

Got one on my hip right now. Love it. Not as light as my G19 but it's 10+1 of .45acp Corbon DPX 185+P.

I'm not too concerned about size and weight. If I need a small gun, I've got small guns. I've read they are very accurate and shootable .45s. If I like it, I see night sights in its future.

I think you'll be very happy with the acquisition. Mine was extremely accurate and recoil with 230gr. ball ammo was very manageable.

    Congrats.

My pocket (ROFL). I've got a couple holsters that it might fit in for some of my other guns...I'll have a little time to shop while I'm getting used to it.

If I had to give up every single gun I own except one, it'd be my G30.

I tried a wide variety of makes/calibers when I was looking for my first EDC. There were a lot of excellent pistols but the G30 performed best for ME. I still carry it every day.

No complaints whatsoever about mine other than 10+ rounds of .45 gets heavy--but then so does 15+ rounds of 9mm. I guess the alternative is to carry less ammo in any caliber, but...
