    got an m&p

So i picked up a poly gun. M&p in 357 sig. Feels good in the hand. Had planned on getting a 9, but they only had one left. A bit of wear on the slide and low cap mags. Yikes. So i got one in 357 sig. Kind of always wanted one anyway. They even had 100 rounds of hst . I did not know that hst ammo was available in 357 sig. Its older stuff, not in the orange box, but itll work. We shall see how it runs.

I have an M&P in 357 , I also picked up the 40 cal barrel from S&W and it has functioned flawlessly with either caliber. I have been trying to stock up on HST and so far I have not found any in the new boxes either. Enjoy the gun.

Another M&PC 9mm owner who loves the gun! Have had at least three other 9mm in recent years and this is the best one as far as I am concerned. The others were O.K., but this one is just too much! Enjoy!!

I have the exact same. Great quality gun.

Curious as what you think of shooting the 357 Sig round.

I've had mine for about 2 years, I carry 357Sig in the winter months here in NC and change out the barrel to 40S&W in the summer months. Works flawlessly in either caliber.

I have done a lot of them. Triggers, stippling and so on. Great gun. My other favorite poly gun. Love the Hi Powers for 9MM and also the new XD-M

There are companies that make conversion barrels for the M&P .40 S&W/ 357 Sig pistols that allows 9mm to be shot in them. Only other extra thing that one has to do is to also buy some 9mm magazines.

Here is a video from a fellow who got one of these conversion barrels for his M&P, and he talks about how well it works. The same barrels that convert 40 S&W to 9mm will work to convert 357 Sig to 9mm also:

You bought a used gun?? Should not be any wear on a new gun.

    I have a FS M&P 40 and a M&P 40c and I absolutely love them. No problems whatsoever!

I hear they are discontinuing the .357 M&P....

I for see a 9mm conversion barrel in my near future... Cheaper ammo and will be faster time on target for 3 Gun.... Of coures when I carry I will put the .40S&W barrel back in it...

OP the M&P was a very good choice.

No, the nine i looked at was new, unfired, but had been handled and racked. A lot. Add in the low cap mags, and that is why i got the 357 SIG instead of the 9. The dealer had lots of 357s, 40s, and 45s, but only one 9. But i got the gun with three hi cap mags, tritium sights, and 100 rounds of HST for $525. A good day.
