    9x18 (9mm Mak) for EDC?

Do any of you carry a pistol chambered in 9x18 for you EDC?

What pistol and holster works best for you?

What ammo brand and type FMJ or JHP do you consider the best for your 9x18 EDC?

Do you ever feel under gunned with 9x18 as EDC?

Not every day, but I often carry a CZ-82 in a Split Decision tuckable. Accurate and 12+1 loading. Usually Silver Bear brand (it's available and cheap enough). Commies have been using 9x18 for years and years with good success.

I think the 9x18 is an under rated round. For the bulk of CCW owners it would do perfectly fine. I have considered getting a mil surp gun to tinker with.

9x18 like its cousin the .380 acp should only be carried with ball ammo as any quality hp will not reliably penetrate deep enough to reach the vitals.

I carry a CZ-82 often, including today. Conceals easily and they are very accurate.

I was once tempted by a PA63. It's not for me to carry less than a 9mm anymore.

be careful of ammo selection for this round. I have seen some tests that havent been too impressive with the MAK HPs

In most cases the rounds didnt expand. The penetration numbers were also weak.

The best performer was actually Silver bear HP if my memory serves me well.

Its a shame because the CZ-82 is an absolute steal at $200

I often carry a CZ 82 for defensive purposes. 12+1 makes it a good choice for a smaller gun. I carry in a Galco Deep Cover, model DC290, not sure if it still available, but I thing they still make the 290 in the USA holster. Ammo can be a problem. Bear ammo is usually available, either Silver Bear or Brown Bear. For defensive rounds I use Geogia Arms which are loaded with Speer Bonded bullets.

This Radom P-64 in 9x18 sometimes rides in a pocket holster.

Is it true that the double action trigger is very heavy Radom P64 and the single action trigger pull is light and sharp?

For the price it seems like a good buy and CCW?

    9x18

I have alternated a 9x18 pistol with a Ruger SR9c. Hornady and Corbon make excellent defensive loads for 9x18.

I think so also. I don't know why the gun makers don't make gun's in this caliber they make alot of guns in 380 & the 9mm mak(9x18) is some what more powerful then the 380.

Thats why with this round the 9x18 & the 380 I will only carry it in FMJ so as to get the best penetration.
