I recently swithched from a Browning High Power Practical to a Beretta 92FS, both in 9mm. I had a friend who had a near accident when the SA safety went to the firing position when it caught on his jacket, so I went to the DA and the larger mag.

I voted 9mm...plenty of power for me and more rounds. Also like the capability of quick follow up shots.

    9mm and .40 S&W

My primary is my Browning Hi-Power in 9mm, but I am in the process of testing my newly acquired BHP in .40S&W with carry ammo, and will probably switch when I'm satisfied with it's functional reliablity.

Sounds more like an issue with holster design and/or training than weapon design.

Of course, I am a little biased as I believe:

    1. There has been no significant improvement in handgun design since 1935

    2. Double Action Auto's are a hardware solution to a training poblem.

But of course, what's important is what you are comfortable and confident with carrying.

    It depends on the weather.

Humid and or rainy days I carry a 9mm Glock 19. When its dry I carry a .45acp 1911. I usualy carry a .38 snub as a backup, or if Im lazy.
