Lost a member of the family today

Well it is with great sadness that I was forced to part ways with my XD9sc. You see the wife and I are in the process of buying our first home together and needed extra funds for closing. Out of the modest arsenal the XD drew the short straw. When the bank account is built back up I will most certianly replace it!

Sorry for your loss. Rest knowing it made the sacrifice for a good cause.

You know, in another thread it was noted that some members of the military have to give up their personal guns when they're given orders for overseas, and there could be a business model in temporarily storing arms for someone.

Wonder if the same thing could apply to short term loans? I'll take in and hold your gun for a loan, when you can pay back the loan you get your gun back. Different from a pawn shop in that it's only collateral, not exchanged? I wonder if something like that could work?

It happens, but like everyone else pointed out... it is replaceable. It's not like you had to part with a rare firearm, or a family heirloom.

Congrats - Enjoy the new home!
