Those are some real pretty guns you got yourself there. I have always liked the SA XD platform. We (wife and I ) own a couple and in fact her XD .40 sub compact is her EDC gun. I really like the XDm and would love to shoot one but just have not had the opportunity as of yet to do so.

Hope they both perform flawlessly for you.

Congrats on your acquisition! I had the chance to shoot a friend's XD-M 40 at the range Monday. It was very impressive! Three different people shot it and it was dead on for all of us. No problems fresh out of the box with a couple of types of ammo. It was easy and comfortable to shoot. Enjoy!!

Mike, INCCWMAMA and I are going to the range, I would be more than happy for you and the wife to join us. I will make availible my XDM-40 duty weapon to you so you try it out. I think you will enjoy it as the recoil is tame but still flavorful

Thanks everyone. Yes I would consider myself lucky drawers as well! It took about 4 weeks of broken 1-hour sleep cycles and I was called "crazy" more times that I care to recount but in the end I ended up with around $1,400 worth of handguns for about 15 seconds worth of work every hour. I got used to the broken sleep and at roughly 6 minutes of actual work a day that came out to about 3 hours of actual work over the entire month so I would say being a little tired for a while and 3 hours of work made it well worth it! =)

I'm gonna go shoot these two for the first time this afternoon and will post range reports later.
