DefensiveCarry.com is a bad influence! (New Ruger LCR)

I spent all weekend trying to kick my recent snubbie addiction. Me and Mamma are trying to close on a house, and I'm sure you know how that goes. Anyway, her and my boy are currently out of town, so I treated myself to a father's day present. I'm gonna go shoot it this week sometime. I needed a new CCW, as my bersa is too heavy for summer carry.

Congrats on the new addition. Did you buy the .38 or .357?

.38. I got the critical defense +p. 357 would probably be overkill in a 13 ounce gun.

The LCR is a great addition, I have the .38+p version and love it. Congrats on the new revolver, looking forward to the range report.

Haha so true! Oh well what I do with my money is my business! She dont need to know right now though lol. The life of her and my 10 month old boy is well worth the $419 price tag. Plus it'll be my son's some day. I cant wait to go shoot it!

Oh, don't worry, youre not alone. Just plopped down about the same(just a little more) for a LCR .357. I figure I'll be using mostly .38's but every now and then when i feel like cowboying up, I'll slap some .357 in her and have a go!

I haven't shot an LCR, but I can tell you that a scandium j frame in .357 was much more than I wanted to play with more than once. I like the critical defense +p in .38. Jane you tried the Buffalo Bore +p in .38? It's as close to shooting a .357 out of a snubbie that I want to get.

    Love my LCR

Way to go. I carry my LCR weak side and my SP101 strong side. I love my LCR.

I carry my LCR everyday in a Kholster iwb and LOVE it! I hold a real tight grouping with it and even when shooting +p ammo it's very manageable. If you can get the barrel even with the webbing of your thumb it greatly reduces muzzle flip and felt recoil.
