Question Do you carry spare magazines?

I'm quite new to carrying, and I was wondering what everyone does as far as spare ammunition/magazines.
I've been looking into getting a spare magazine pouch to add to my belt.
I'd love to hear about everyone's setups, how/where/why you carry your magazines, etc

    Cheers!

I carry a spare speed loader on my belt when I'm carrying my wheel gun. I also have 2 speed loaders in the center console of my car. I keep 2 spares in my home office (the room I am in the most at home). If/when I carry a auto I just have a spare on my belt.

An extra magazine if I am carrying my P3AT or LC9, or two speed strips if I am carrying my j frame.

Yes, I carry an extra magazine. Not because of the amount of rounds, but because the possibility of malfunctions. The magazine is the Achilles' heel of a semi-auto.

+1 ^ for the reason, but I carry two extra mags. Although, I guess if I am attacked by a pack of coyotes I might need all 31 rounds.

Always one extra, but for mechanical problems not extra ammo.
One exception is when traveling to Jax or Orlando...those ARE 'extra mag' towns and I take two extra with me.

That's why I love this forum! Lot's of smart folks educating Noobs to concealed carry like me. I never thought of carrying a second for the mechanical failure aspects. That makes me realize that carrying an autoloader with only the mag in the gun is really inviting Murphy into the equation.

Good idea. Up here (The Big Bangum), things can get dicey. By the way, I've always got a beverage on ice for you, retsup, anytime you're in town.
