    That's not a bad price.

I think it's a very good price. I paid $600+ for the PM9 which is the sub version of the P9. I also have the K9 which is the SS version of the P9. It's a superb weapon. Go grab that P9.

Hmmmm... I just picked up a Glock 19, but the store does have a return policy within 10 days. Basically I can receive full credit towards a new gun that is equal or higher value.

I'm curious -- why are you unhappy with the Glock 19?

The ONLY advantage to the Kahr P9 over the Glock 19 is the smaller size. If you can conceal and carry the G19, keep it. If it's too big, then go ahead and try the P9. Best bet would be to rent or borrow one to try before you decide.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

Haven't shot the G19 yet. I'm just always looking for a good deal and can't afford both. I love the way the G19 feels, and it's really only .25" wider than the P9. I probably should wait until I shoot the Glock.

For what it is worth, over Easter, I found a range in Matthews NC that rented firearms. I went twice. I rented t Kahr P9 on both visits. Additionally, I rented a Glock 19, 30, and 36. I shot the 30 and 36 the best. Earlier this month, I purchased a Gen 4 Glock 19. By mid September I will have a Glock 36.

I was carrying a G19 full time, but started looking for something smaller for the summer time (Miami) when I am wearing little more than a T-shirt for cover. I opted for the black P9, and absolutely love it. I took a dremmel tool to the slide release to smooth the edges and corners, and then had it cerakoted back to matte black finish. Next stop was off to XS Sights for a set of Big Dots. Lastly when I got it back I put some Agrips on it. This is my fulltime carry gun now. I still love my G19, and put a couple hundred rounds through it everytime I go to the range, but it now sits next to my bed w/a GLK Veridian riding it's rails.
If you want to save a few bucks look at the CW9. It's basically the same gun, with a few changes to cosmetic details that allow the to chop about $200 from the pricetag.

There's pics of my P9 on a Kahrtalk forum thread I posted over there. There's also tons of great people w/lots of good input over there too.

    I wouldn't trade a G19 for a Kahr P9, and I own a Kahr.

The price is pretty good. The P9 is a slim, lightweight pistol, an almost perfectly sized CCW and a very easy gun to carry and conceal. The Glock is a fine gun, just bigger.

I was able to get a new CW9 for $439 total! Keep your G19 and look into a Kahr and enjoy both, and I don't care for Glocks.

Yeah that's a good deal for a good pistol. I used to have a P9 and foolishly got rid of it ... oh well.
My only gripe with the pistol is that you really need to chamber the first round by using the slide release instead of racking the slide manually. Mine was pretty sensitive to any riding of the slide. Other than that, the gun is so lightweight and thin that it disapears into cargo pants pockets.

I think I'm going to keep the G19. It's not much thicker or heavier and with the proper holster will conceal fine for me in the cooler months. If I had the money however, I'd definitely have both.
