    Cool EXO Coating on G-36

A few weeks ago I started to research EXO metal coating and found out that the company who applies it was a 10 minute drive from my home.

I contacted them and spoke with Louis who was extremely helpful and told me since I lived so close to bring in my G-36 slide and barrel for them to do the work on it.

Below are some photos of the finished product.

I am very pleased and would recommend this service to anyone interested in getting a hard, long lasting , self lubricating coating for their Glock firearm.

Looks great, but I like the regular black better.

That looks very good. May have to come down there sooner than I thought. How long does it take to do the coating, and what's the cost?
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

Very nice! I am interested in the cost also. Where can we read about the benefits? Do they have a website?

Awesome!!! I love the finish. Tell me how you like the G36. I bought a G30 not long ago and it shoots fine but it is like carrying a brick. Is the slide on the 36 slimmer than the 30? Does the 36 shoot as well as the 30 as far as handling the round and accuracy?

I'll try to help you too. I chose my G36 because it was noticeably thinner than the G30 when handling the two. Having never carried a G30, I would suggest you go look at the G36 in person and compare the two for yourself.

Tony, their web site is at the bottom of my original post. UCT Coatings.

GlockJS, they only do Glocks at this time.

Since I delivered the slide and barrel to them there was no return shipping cost and they do give LEO discount.

Phone # Arms: 1-772-872-7106 ask for Louis Rausch.......

Bug Dude, I like the G-36 alot. I have large hands so all Glocks including my G-21 are comfortable for me to shoot.

I put a grip sleeve on mine to fit my hand better.

The slide and frame are thinner than the G-30 and you can put a G-36 slide on a G-30.

I think it makes a good .45 compact carry gun at least it does for me.

We have an EXO G19. I like it so much that I called UTC and inquired about sending in my standard G19 and G26 to have done. I was told that they don't take in private jobs any longer. They've gotten too overwhelmed doing big jobs for companies.

Seems they can't decide if they want to do jobs for the little people or not.

I picked up my slide yesterday and he said they are looking to do more outside work.

It's been driving me nuts that it's so hard to find someone doing this coating. Thanks for posting the link!

    EDIT:
Did they say if they'd do small parts and serial numbered parts?

    EDIT 2:
    Glocks only!?!?!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
    Hakkaa päälle!
