I have recently been mulling over buying either a Glock 19 or a Glock 26. This weekend I was at a small gun show in North Texas, and I found one dealer who had a used sample of each of them. I could not decide, so I didn't and I bought 'em both. Here are the pictures of my new additions.

Way to go Skeeter!:congrats:

(On a side note: What did you tell the domestic general?)

I've learned when I go gun shopping to take an empty case with me...something to trade in..wink, wink. That way when I come home with two, one was the gun I decided not to trade in. She always wants to see what I bought (and shoot it, too). This works with semi's only (they all look the same:))

I used to not like Glocks, but I have rented a 26 a couple of times from different gun ranges and found that they shot really well for me. The 26 is a little bigger than the Kel-Tec P11 it replaced, but it shoots way better. I haven't shot a 19 in a while, but my experience with the 26 gives a lot of confidence. It replaced a S&W Sigma that felt pretty good but did not shoot very well for me. I am not knocking either the Sigma or the P11. They were both the right purchases for me at the time because of $$, but I am excited about my Glocks.

The Domestic General knows I bought something at the gun show, but she doesn't like guns and isn't interested in what my purchases were. Maybe one day she will get over her dislike of guns, but she doesn't seem to mind that I carry.

Both Glocks I bought were used. The 26 came with the std 2 mags and the fancy Glock box for $405, and the 19 came in the Tupperware box with nothing but 3 mags and dim but working night sites for $375. The asking price for each pistol was $20 more, but they gave me a break for buying both of them.

I am planning on letting the Glocks have an ammo feast this weekend, and I also have a 649 Smith that needs a little love too. If I get a chance before the weekend, I might get some night sites for the 26.

I have not shot a Glock 19 but I do own the Glock 26. Although I am not a Glock fan, I have to admit it is a darn fine pistol and I like it alot.:hand5:
