    Colt LWT Commander

Just got this today from a person on another forum that I call a friend. He had it available when I was looking for something along these lines and here she is. Manufactured in 1975, with alloy frame and stainless slide. Nickel finish. Near mint finish.

That gun appears virtually unused, my friend, unless it's been refinished. I let the same gun slip though my fingers a while back because I foolishly put too much emphasis on the worn nickel plate on the slide... the copper underneath was showing thru in a few places from mostly holster wear. Still got the heel marks on my butt from kicking myself!

Really, really nice. Now go shoot the heck outta it!

The bore looks brand new. No where near shot out. Breech face looks fantastic as well. It has been in a safe for a long time according to former owner.

    Beautiful Colt Deadguy.

If it's a 1975, your slide is satin nickel finished carbon steel, Colt didn't introduced stainless until circa 1984.

There goes the Fusion fund. Nice addition to your rapidly ascending 1911 addiction. I played with the exact same gun last week at my local GS, but it was really beat up. Nickel was really sad looking, and their asking price was just somewhere near the moon, so I let them have it back.

so what's the ETA on your custom Fusion?

Nice. Reminds me of my father's Commander but I don't think his is quite that old.
