I just wanted to post a pic of my 1977 Colt Python with the new wood grips that I got for it. So how does it look guys?Attachment 53021Attachment 53022
Looks good. My partner carried a 6" Python all the years we worked together.
It looks great :hand10:
Have you had it since '77?
Nothing like an old revolver. Looks good.
I have a S&W Model 19 that I got new in 1980. It took a beating riding in a duty holster for 17 years. I will post pics after it is redone. I got some replacement grips last month, now I just need to find a really good gunsmith to redo the bluing.
Very nice gun btw.
Looks great with the wood stocks, where did you find them?
Got to love a wheel gun. They dress up nicely.
That is a very sweet revolver :congrats:
Always wanted one but even when I was a peace officer, they were considered expensive. I fired one on the range one day and it was tuned with target trigger. It was like glass but too rich for me. Back then, the CHP carried the 6" model as standard issue! Ahhh, those were the days'...
Gotta love a Python.
I have three "E" models a 4 inch blue, a 6 inch blue and a beautiful 4 inch nickel combat magnum with original three dot sights. I take them for a spin every once in awhile when I am home and they are always a pleasure
For some reason, there is nothing quite like the older model Colts and S&Ws. You've gotta love 'em.
I got them on Ebay for less than $75
