New Glock 21 Gen 4 Arrives

I got the call today, I finally got my hands on one... a Glock 21 Gen 4.

I'm not a big fan of the Gen 4 17's and 19's, I believe Glock dropped the ball with the Gen 4 changes to these pistols. The 9mm just doesn't work well with the new spring design, the guns are over sprung and Glock is trying to deal with it.

But the .45 ACP, now that has potential. I'll find out here soon, and of course I will document my adventures on video.

They list the Gen 4 G21 on their website (Glock) as being part of the spring exchange program. They say if you bought your pistol after July 22nd, you don't need to worry about the exchange, presumably because they've been updated already... how they know how long stock has been sitting on shelves, I don't know... perhaps Glock has a crystal ball.

Regardless, the Gen 4 G21 wasn't available to the general gun buying public before July 22nd as far as I know, they started shipping last week. So I'm not sure what Glock was thinking there... perhaps there's lots of people with pre-production models or something.

Congrats on the new Glock! I purchased a Gen G 19 on June first. The spring is stamped with 4. I've not had any issues but I'll contact Glock and follow their guidance. Will let you know what they suggest.

Nice, I'm holding off on the purchase of a G20SF to see what the G20 Gen. 4 will be, and if it has any advantages over the SF.
