I considered it until I saw the 3" 1911's that Kimber makes. I really like the Ultra Raptor II.

Well, mine is at Kimber CS for the 3rd time. If it doesn't function this time, she goes bye bye.

I've heard they recommend 124 grain ammo for proper function. Deal breaker for me. If it can't handle the range ammo that is most readily available I don't want to handle it. I'll just be over here waiting for GLOCK to shrink the 19 or 26 into a single stack.

I've yet to see an improvement over the PM9.

I am...not a fan of kimber.
As far as fit and finish these are pretty nice. The "feel" is that of a ultra carry. Haven't had the opportunity to fire one, I'd imagine it shoots like an ultra as well.

i heard the same that no 115gr ammo can be used only heavier grains (that right there is a turn off) ill just stick with my p238 that eats whatever i run through it and is the same size ACTUALLY 2 oz lighter. Anyway i dont see a real need to go to 9mm from a .380

I'd like to try one out. My LGS/R doesn't carry Kimber so if someone could send me one to put some rounds through I would appreciate it.

The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

Now that is TRUE , i called kimber now and they told me the jamming issues are with ammo under 124gr, and he specified to use only golden saber, hornady X tap and speer hollowpoints. If you decide to use the gun at the range he said it may or may not jam with ball ammo. That to me is not a good thing to say. I also told him ots of people are saying the jamming issues keep happening and he said thats not true because they get no calls saying that. Makes me wonder

what ammo have you had the issues with?

I REALLY wanted to like this gun. Too many complaints all of the internet about this gun for me. If I remember correctly they halted production to resolve some of the issues including the feed ramps???
