I got a Boberg coming!! My Christmas present.
While its appears to be an interesting design, I dont see it become a major player.
Its ugly and it's too high priced.
Most people that I know will go with the proven designs that will do exactly the same thing for a third of the price. I dont see this one becoming any more than a novelty really.
I would rather stand against the cannons of the wicked than against the prayers of the righteous.

The NIB Boberg cost me less than a NIB Springfield EMT or Rohrbaugh would. A grand aint too much bucks now days. Some people carry KelTecs and are happy. Nothing wrong with that. So be it.
I was looking for a subcompact easy to carry nine that did not require me to compromise to much in effective shooting or performance. After researching the xr9-s, it appears to offer just what I want. The design provides the longer barrel for max velocity, felt recoil appears to be acceptable, the quality seems to be top notch and from all that I have read and researched, the owner seems to be great at providing quality service to his customers. The tangible benefits that this subcompact provides are well worth the extra dollars. Just purchased mine from a local dealer today and can't wait to start my practice sessions with it. I have read plenty of reviews and watch a number of videos where the accuracy, velocity and recoil seems to be confirmed and substantiated. I'm looking to find ammo that it and I like and make this my primary carry!
@freemvain I would like to know your experiience shooting and carrying the Boberg.
Thanks and good luck, happy shooting and be safe.
Very interesting pistol, have heard of them and seen some pictures but never seen one in person. I expect it to be small sales numbers unless a major player buys them out and I don't expect that to happen as most of them are very closed minded companies and like to do things their way and don't care for upstarts.
Freemvain, you definitely need to post a range report. They are very interesting guns.
I would love a range report and overall impressions
Hickok45 has a good video on this little number.
Hello AnthonyC, I am a former Marine that does a lot of rifle shooting and have recently started my paperwork for my NY handgun license. I have purchased the Boberg in anticipation of my license being granted soon. I will be posting my experience as soon as I am able to start shooting. My main reason for this purchase was to have an easily concealed carry without to many performance compromises.
