    Lost my LCR

Put about 500 rounds through my LCR when I noticed I could not open the cylinder without tapping the trigger to reset the firing pin. Sent the LCR back to Ruger and Ruger sent me a letter saying the pistol was beyond hope and they would send me a new LCR. I called Ruger CS and asked if they would send me a GP100 3 inch instead of the LCR. AND THEY DID SEND ME A 3 INCH GP100! WOW! I Love Ruger!
The only problem is my wife has highjacked the GP.

Wow! I had the same problem with the firing pin sticking. I sent it to NH and they literally replaced everything in it. Either way Ruger CS is awesome and glad you got it sorted out.

It is refreshing to hear(read) stories about great Customer service, for any product.
It's, unfortunately, no longer the norm.

I have owned a Stainless Security Six & a Police Service SIX & still have my Stainless Super Blackhawk. Ruger makes a fine Stainless wheelie.

The Ruger GP100 or the Ruger SP101...both guns are tanks.
You have/had a great replacement there...

I have an sp101 and did own a gp100 4". As the post says they are both tanks and will outlive all of us if cared for properly. That was a good trade-out since in my neck of the woods the gp100 goes for about 200-300 more than the lcr. It is amazing to me that Ruger maintains such an excellent cs record while keeping their products at such affordable prices. They are to be commended.

Sorry to hear about the LCR, and the wife stealing the GP. But congrats on getting the GP.

My wife commandeered my Taurus. She LOVES the .45, even though she won't take it with her when she leaves the house. (Doesn't have her permit, but I've told her to keep it in the car.)

So, in order to make myself feel better, I'll be buying myself a 1911. That way, we BOTH have .45s.

Jeff: You mean they sent you a GP100, even up? What a deal and good for you and Ruger!

I have 3 Ruger wheel guns. 4" GP100, 2.75 Security 6 and 2.75 Speed 6. While they may not be the prettiest guns out there, they are reliable and built tough. I'll take that over a pretty gun that's in the shop a lot.

Yeah, my wife carries an LCR and loves it, but it doesn't yet have 500 hundred rounds through it so yeah, I'm kinda concerned about this.

Haystacker, did you have the .38 spcl or the .357 mag version? Ours is the .38. spcl +p.
