pocket carry - Ruger LCR 357

i just picked up the Ruger LCR 357.

did research for the past couple of weeks on it. checked it out at the gun show, the guy at one of the booths allowed me to sample it in my short pockets.

what a great revolver. i liked the trigger on this better than the Ruger SP-101. and 8 ounces lighter the SP-101, it was a no brainer for which one to choose for pocket carry.

Hope you like it. I traded mine for the LC9--- wanted the 9mm.

Very nice. Did you find that holster to be a little stiff (printing in jeans) before breaking in?

Not really, I wear relaxed fit jeans with large pockets and angled pockets... instead of high ride straight pockets. Dress to your carry piece.

I'm still getting used to the extra weight of my new LCR .357 in it's new Stoner pocket holster. It feels like a rock in my pocket compared to my S&W 342 Ti. .38+P. I too prefer the Ruger's trigger and I think it's worth the extra oz.'s to have .357 mag.

My LCR 357 is my favorite 357 Snub to shoot and carry. I pocket carry it or carry it IWB. Sometimes it backs up my SP101 and if it is the main carry gun my 442 will back it up. If someone trades a good used one in at our Shop I will buy it and carry Two.

I have had no problems from the 2 38+P LCRs that I've owned amd modified with the tritium Big Dot sights.

They have less recoil than my old 642 and a lighter and smoother action.

I'm moving away from Rugers though, like my CZs and other autos better.

Look toward High Noon for a superb pocket holster or other gear for the LCR.

Love the LCR in the magnum package. Anytime you can get two guns in one, why not? I too have a SP101 that I love and that 17oz vs 26oz does make a difference in pocket carry but not to much in a holster..I usually carry my SP101 inside the pant carry..I actually love revolvers in this carry fashion because they are easy to present and fire vs trying to dig out some of the smaller semi-s...I'm now debating to get a Kahr CM9, I put one of those in my pocket today and it's a excellent pocket gun or back up..probably carry well on ankle as well.
