    Finally, A PERFECT Carry Gun

I have owned more than 50 handguns in my lifetime, yeah, I'm an old fart. I Own Wilson Combat, Nighthawk, Ed Brown, Les Baer, Dan Wesson in 1911 and Various Sigs, Glocks, CZ's, HK's, A Beretta and even had a Taurus once, til I learned better.

Recently I read an article about the Walther PPQ. I had zero experience with Walther except watching James Bond movies long ago. The PPQ has a trigger with 1/10th inch reset, holds 15 rds. comes with two mags, is as easy to fieldstrip as a Glock, is the most ergonomic pistol I have EVER held in my hand.

I went on Gunbroker and found one NIB for $550 in 9mm. Ordered it and when it arrived took it to the range with 200 rds of various ammo.

I was blown away!!!! I have NEVER fired a more accurate handgun. I even shot it better than my Wilson and 1.5" inch Baer! I had some double taps that were in the same hole. At 20 yards, I had a smaller pattern on a paper plate than I do with any of my other guns. I have a HK P30 that I loved until I shot the Walther! The HK costs about 40% more than the Walther but I just may sell the HK and lots of other guns.

This may sound like a Walther sales rep is writing it but I have NO connection with them other than as a happy customer. I just want you guys to know you really should check out the PPQ. It is the most fun to shoot gun I have EVER shot!!!

Wow. That's a pretty strong recommendation!

I read a nice write-up on it the other day. It looks really good.

It may be a great gun but beauty is not one of it's strong points.

The handgrip sure looks comfortable. I'll have to see if I can shoot one sometime.

How does this differ from the M&P?

I have to admit.. I really, really hate Walther's new designs on their handles. It looks like it is trying to be really old fashioned. I'm glad I got our Walthers before they changed the design.

Everybody knows that the perfect hand gun is a Glock

I really like the looks of your new gun!!!!!!

I'm not going to pick on the new Walther. It looks as good as many of the other "new crop" semi-autos introduced since the 1980s. It's nice to read an enthusiastic review of them and see that enthusiasm generated over a pistol that doesn't start with the letter "G" or else have its name appropriated from a fine line of 20th century revolvers that served so faithfully.

If all the "new crop" semi-autos didn't have to look like cordless drills...

I have a psychological dislike for real guns which look like toy laser guns of the 1950's & '60's... And I shouldn't let that discourage me from giving an honest evaluation of a good firearm.

And on CMC's advice I'm gonna look for one of these to try out.

Nice review Chief. I'm willing to give it a try.
