Question CW40 not to my liking any suggestions on what to replace it with?

I have a CW40 that I find too light to temper recoil and have had a few issues with (like around 5 slide lever spring changes). Light, easy to carry and accurate enough at about 15 yards but it's shootability is not the best. Looking for another choice in 40 preferably maybe a little heavier and better quality any suggestion? What would be the next step up? thanks

    Kahr P40 or K40.

Take a look at a Springfield EMP in .40 or a Sig 239.

If you are looking for Single Stack 40's I would suggest the Walther PPS and Taurus PT740. God Bless

CZ RAMI in .40. A little bulkier and heavier, but built tough and reliable.

HK P2000sk .40 is my suggestion!

Mine is Light LEM and I use the X-Grip and P2000 12 round magazine for extra length. Compact, easy to conceal, extremely accurate and RELIABLE!!

I have a CW40 also. I found that by using 165 grain bullets not +P that the recoil is not as bad. .40 is a snappy round. Try using lighter bullets. I was impressed with the accuracy with mine for a small pistol. 180 grain ammo was a pain to shoot.

M&P 40c is one 40 compact that really is easy to shoot recoil wise. See this video....

My primary carry gun is a XD40sc and I find it easy to carry and dead on accurate. I really like it.

My first thought was the Sig P239.

I have a Glock 23 which is very easy to shoot

Kahr K40 is most likely what you are looking for providing you want to stay with the same round. Quality is excellent and the weight is a bonus in my book. If you wanted a larger high quality pistol in .40 for OWB, then I also recommend a USP compact LEM.

Love all things Sig (I own several) and have checked out the P239. Anyone have thoughts on how comfortable a P239 loaded with extra mag is?

I like my Sig P239. I carry it in an Andrews Custom Leather IWB, works fine for me.

H&K USP Compact. It is the only 40 I have ever enjoyed to shoot and carry.
