    Ruger SR9C first range report.

I have had several 9mm's over the years, the most disappointing one was the Glock 19 Gen4, so I was looking for a replacement and I bought the Ruger SR9C.

I fired 100 flawless rounds of Federal 115FMJ the cheap Wal-mart stuff, it was very accurate. The size is comparable to a Glock 26, except the SR9C comes with a 10 round and 17 round magazine. The SR9C fits my hand well and the sights are easy for my eyes to shoot with and the back sight is adjustable.

I intend on carrying the SR9C AIWB, and for home defense, also, I think this would be a good gun to train my wife to shoot.

That's great that it is working for you. Glad to hear it. The SR9 and 9c are on my "want to buy" list for sure. As are the SR40 and 40c. Can't wait to see the SR45 when it hits the market.

I carry an SR9c AIWB all day. I've found that to be the best for work and "close quarters" concealment.

By the way, next time you clean it, remove the firing pin and give that a good cleaning, too. Be careful, though. When you extract the firing pin, the magazine disconnect safety might just jump out of its channel and get "lost" somewhere. Then the trigger is even more smooth.

I've been hearing lots of stories about extremely happy SR9c owners. One of my friends father owns one. My buddy "borrows" it quite frequently! And he has a substantial collection of his own.

I checked one out a while ago. I really liked it. But I've been afraid to go back. It felt so good in my hand it could replace my Glocks!

SR9C has been my daily CCW for almost a year. Easy to hide and flawless.

With the SR1911 on the market (my next objective), I would be surprised if they came out with an SR45.

I could see an SR1911c or something similar. The SR1911 is a very good looking gun.

The Ghost Inc. Rocket trigger kit made it even better.

Good deal!!! A buddy of mine who has numerous handguns and has had more than I can recall recently bought a SR9c and he just raves about it. It has become his EDC replacing his G26 and G36. He went through LCP, LC9, 709, 642, etc. and they all got sold off quick. He says this one is here to stay. There must be something to it.

I also carry a SR9C. It is a great sized weapon for a Double stack. They did a good job of getting 10-17 rounds in it without making it to fat of CC.
It is a Ruger so Quality is never an issue. Priced right it is a winner all the way around.
