It's good to have choices! Glocks are addicting. I never thought I would ever own one. When shooting IDPA several years ago I purchased a 34 and fell in love with the accuracy and capacity. After much research- mostly on this forum, I decided on the 36. I chose the 36 in the poll as I have not found the 36 to be that aggressive on recoil to be accurate and I am confident with the capacity. At a comparison glance the thickness when compared to the 19 appears minimal, but even a slight decrease in width made a big difference for me when carrying. I truly do not believe you can go wrong with either as I feel today's ammunition has improved the 9mm capabilities.

I chose the 19. Nothing wrong with the 36. It's just not my cup of tea!

I'm more familiar with the 9mm Glocks and they are what I like. I already have a 17 and a 26 so I can use the same holster for all 3. Plus I can shoot larger mags in the smaller guns making everything more versatile.

To me the Glocks are kind of like a bad date; something just doesn't feel right to me. I'll stick with my M&P!

I have those two Glocks and both are fine shooters. I think the questions would be, do you prefer 9mm or .45...both work just fine.
I use the Glock-36 as my EDC...a little easier to conceal and bigger holes works for me.

    I chose the G19, if I'm carrying a .45, it'll be a 1911.

I'd go with the 19 if I could only pick from the two. Capacity aand less expensive ammo. Now if you throw the model 30 in there, I'd go with the 30 !

Shot my G19 for the first time in a long while today. Let's just say that I've been toying with the idea of getting a G36 - but no longer. The G19 is just so darn easy to shoot quickly and accurately, that there is really no point in getting something else instead.

Same reason Glock people reply in M&P and XD threads.

G19 is my edc and that's what I voted for, but G36 is a very good choice if you want a .45

I've owned both. I still have a few 19s. I carried a 19 on duty for years. The 36 has a spotty record for reliability. A trait it shares with a lot of other short-barreled .45 acp pistols. With so little mass in the slide it's up to the spring to manage the recoil a lot more than a standard-sized pistol. The recoil spring takes a real beating and you have to change it out often.
