    I sold all my handguns

All but one. Something in me just wanted to keep things simple. I love the gun I kept (Glock 26), it shoots like a full size gun and conceals great. I started this at first because I wanted to just buy one caliber of ammo. I thought this process would take a while. I sold 3 in 2 weeks. I already sold a couple earlier in the year. I put one up for sale and wam, it sold that day. Same for the other 2. I really thought this process would take several months. So here I sit with only one handgun. It feels good to not have to choose what to carry. Although I feel kind of naked. I have a big wad of cash in my empty gun safe, so if I have withdrawals I can run out and buy a new gun.

    Anyone else consider this?

I have considered selling my F.I.E. Titan .25 to some guy in the alley for 10 bucks.

Seriously, no, I have not considered selling any of my firearms yet. The only one I feel that I might need to dispense of is the cheap Universal Arms .30 Carbine with the broken bolt and extractor. Maybe get a real U.S. Carbine or one of the new Kahr's.

Your'e scaring me Southchatham! But seriously, I hope that I never need to, or want to, sell any of my firearm collection. I've sold 3 in the past and regret the sale to this day. However, if I could only have one gun, it would be my G23.

I gave my Titan 25 to my father in law years ago. Haven't thought about it until just now when JJG mentioned it. If you hang onto all that cash, in a few years you might not be able to buy a High Point with it.

I should introduce you to my wife. In her opinion: A gun is a gun is a gun.

The 26 is an excellent keeper. I keep $ in my safe as well, but I also have several K rounds to trade for rice too.

No, I have not, variety is the spice of life. I own several handguns, many fit certain uses better than others.

I think there's a lot to be said for having only one caliber. With no worry about keeping up with multiple calibers, you have that much more you can invest in stockpiling your current ammo stash. Being new to the CCW subculture, I only have one EDC so right now, I don't have the dilemma you described about having to pick and choose which gun to carry today. With me, my choice is already made for me as to what I'm going to carry so that's one less complication I have to worry about right now. I am interested in adding to my collection but at the same time, I don't feel vulnerable because I don't have a dozen hand guns.

It would add another type of ammo but if you did this, but if I were you, I'd be really tempted to take some of that handgun money and buy a good HD shotty...if you don't already have one. ;-)

I too, thought of this "simplification" ... just 9mm. Even selling my AR and getting a 9mil variant of the AR.
But then I think about my 1911 that was made in 1918, my old snub 66, the Python ... you get the idea.
We haven't even mentioned the 45-70 I've got my eye on.

    Stay safe
