A Ruger LCP, carried a Kel-Tec P-32 for years before that. If I'm really feeling old school, I'll carry a Dick Special.

I used to manage properties in gangland. I always had a bug in those days (sometimes two).

Since deciding that my life was worth more than the spare income, I've shucked those properties off, and now find that I usually only carry one.

My question to myself is whether I've properly adjusted to my current environment, or have I just gone lax?

I don't hang at crack houses, biker bars, or strip clubs at 2:00 a.m. One is plenty.

never leave the house without at least two. Ususally pocket carry a small 9mm Keltec PF-9 or Kahr CM9 as a BUG to Glock of a variety of calibers. Not sure what being or not being LEO has to do with carrying a second gun. When I hit the streets in the morning, I am on my own.....no radio for backup, no cruisers ready to come to my aid, no army of SWAT ready to save my butt......just me, my Glock and little pocket 9mm and my own commons sense and self awarenesss.

Hey, Lets be careful out there!!
Kimbers are the guns you show your friends....Glocks are the ones you show your enemies.

Given my lifestyle and my zip code I don't feel the need to carry a back up gun. It's one gun at a time for me.

I generally have two in tow, one on my and one in the briefcase / glovebox. Never know when you might need a NY reload.

I carry spare mags for malfunctions but rarely a 2nd gun. The LCP does make it super easy to carry a backup though.

It depends on factors, but yes at times I will carry a BUG, (J frame 442). I'm seldom without a fighting sized handgun and at least one extra mag, but there are times that dictate a BUG in my off hand pocket. Occasionally it will be a primary and a NY reload, (second full sized firearm).
