My Sigma just became my house gun when I bought my SD. However before my SD, I was using my Sigma as both my EDC and my house gun.

Glock: G22 .40 S&W Smith and Wesson: Model 437 .38 Spl, and Sigma SW9VE 9mm
Same gun for both. When it comes off of my belt it goes on the night stand. I've thought about getting a bedside holster and using the PX4 as the house gun but it does not have the CT grips and I haven't yet warmed up to the idea of putting it away and taking it out of teh safe every day...![]()
My everyday carry varies with dress. This is my housegun-.44 special.

My EDC is on my hip from the time I get dressed, until I undress at night. So technically my EDC and my house gun are the same. I do keep an Astra A75 .40cal in my nightstand.

Yes, XD40sc with plenty of mags, but my fall-back in the bedroom is a Mossy 500 12ga with 00 Buck, 5 in the tube and 6 on the side saddle shell holder and tac-light. Also separate hand held flashlight for hand held use with the pistol. I carry a handgun on my person in the house, and figure that should be enough to get me to my shotgun if it comes to that point.

Guns are like sex and air...its no big deal until YOU can't get any.
Yes my house gun is the same as my carry but that's because I carry all of my guns. My pistols would be used to get me and my family to my 12 gauge though. So would my Mossberg 590 be considered my house gun then? :)
Nope. Mainly for capacity/weight sake.
Carry is a Springfield EMP - thin, light, but only a 10 round capacity. I'm awake and alert and its usually light out when I have that.
House is a Beretta PX-4 with a TLR-1s - bulkier, but a 20 round capacity. Considering the possible scenarios I would need that (groggy, dark, etc) I may need a higher capacity![]()
