    L. Vickers Shoots 10mm Glock 20 & Hits Target @ 250 Yds.!

I was watching Tac TV the other night and Larry Vickers was testing out the 10mm Glock 20 to illustrate the range that this gun has. He was shooting at a man sized target. He allowed himself 3 tries (I think he started at 50 yds.) and if he hit the target within those 3 tries, he would move back and make another attempt. He got all the way back to the 250 yrd mark, hitting it on his second try. He made 3 attempts at 300 yrds. but did not hit it.

The 10mm is a real powerhouse and can really reach out and touch someone. To hit a target at 250 yrds is amazing.

I dont believe it! We all know that shooting past 7 yards with a handgun is impossible!

But on a more serious note, I think Larry needs some practice.

Well its amazing then because I can tell you with pretty good certainty that I wouldn't be able to make that shot. That's some real distance to make with a pistol and kudos to anyone that can do it.

Have you ever tried? I am going to go out on a limb and say that this was not the first time he had ever attempted to take a long range shot with a handgun. The first time I took my wife to the range she was amazed that I could put 10 rounds in a 1 inch hole at 20 feet. She then amazed herself by hitting the target 10 times at 20 feet. Now she gets mad if her groups are even 1/2 inch bigger than mine. It all comes down to practice, I am certain that I could hit a target at 250 yards if I practiced it. But I see no need to work on shooting at that range as I don't think imminent danger and fear for your life apply to a BG at that range unless he has a rifle and then I'm screwed anyway.

Hickok45 has hit at 230 yards with a .45 ACP.

The 10mm round is awesome. I'd love to get a G20 someday. Even if I have no real use for it, the novelty of the 10mm will be enough :)

I would not want to stand in front of it! I have a hard time believing that it would still be going 900-950 at 250 yards though. No math on my end, just a thought. If anyone could share the ballistics I would enjoy looking at the numbers.

As far as CC goes dropping your BG at 250 yards would be hard to defend. But as a BUG gun I'd love to have one and love being that accurate with it even more. Oh well would love to be rich and good looking too LOL
I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.
