This is a discussion on Let me introduce my 'new to me' Kahr MK9! within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; Just picked it up over lunch hour and so far I couldn't be happier - now to get it to the range! KAHR MK9 by ...
Good looking gun, congrads. Seems like Kahrs are runnin hot in the threads right now.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.
That's sexy. How about a report back after the first trip to the range?

Kimbers are the guns you show your friends....Glocks are the ones you show your enemies.
I hope it serves you well.
Let us know how it shoots.
If you have never broken your gun or bled on your gun in training, you're doing it wrong!
Train hard, live easy.
You can educate ignorance, you can't fix stupid

Thanks guys, I'll be sneaking out of work early and heading to my local range (2 minutes from home) and will report back tonight.
I've got a PM9, but theres something to be said for a hefty metal gun. I love those MK9's. Congrats!
Good looking Gun, on the top of the list for my next gun.
A range report will have to include a comparison between your new MK9 and your PM9. I have the two larger guns in both poly and metal, but I'd be interested in hearing how the two smaller models compare to each other.
Enjoy the new Kahr.
The MK9 is a very good firearm. Congrats and enjoy!

That's my favorite of the Kahrs. I saw a member here post a pic of his with wooden grips on it and I've had it on my wish list ever since. I'd have to put some wood on that metal frame.

You'll love it. I sure like my MK9 and K9. Just nothing like the solid feel of steel in your hand.
Thanks again guys! I got out to the range and ran 100 rounds of range ammo through it and 14 rounds of JHP ammo without a hitch. :)
As far as the PM9 vs the MK9, although they are the same dimensions and essentially the same gun internally - the MK9 has less recoil and seems smoother. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my PM9 so that says a lot of my initial thoughts on the MK9.
Wood grips will probably be ordered tomorrow, it does look sweet.
