    Cool

What I have noticed is all the 1911 types with a single stack mag is not as thick (read... wide) as the double stack mags that go into the glock 27. Therefore the single stack mag - fed 1911 type gun will be "thinner". Grips can also come into play.

The XD won't be much if any thinner. The 1911 will definitely be thinner.

Unless you just want a 1911, check out the Walther PPS, now that's THIN!

    Welcome to the forum!

The 1911 is thinner and easier to conceal than the Glock. Even a full-size Government is easier to conceal than the G-27. If you get a good holster and a good belt the weight will not bother you.

Welcome from Missouri, get a good 1911 and you'll be happy.

I like 1911's also, but check out a Sig Sauer P220 Compact or Carry. Single stack and very ergonomic.

The 1911 is thinner than the P220 Compact.

If you feel the GLock is thick to carry, have you looked at the Walther PPS? It has a great following and the 9mm is supposed to be a dream to shoot.

    Glock 36 vs Kahr CW45

Kimbers are the guns you show your friends....Glocks are the ones you show your enemies.
