    Of the guns I own It would be hard to pick between the Glock 23 or XD .40 service size. I shoot both very well and I trust them both completely.

    M&P 340 would have to be my choice. Having said that I may have to find a way to get one.
    My reason for this as my choice is that I don't hunt but carry for personal defense and that is my priority.

    I half expected this to turn into a Glock thread, I am happily surprised to see the number of folks picking revolvers!Like bmcgilvray I would probably pick my smith model 27 for it versatility, however, my SA stainless loaded 5" 1911 is a close second.

    Sig Sauer 1911 carry with CTC grips would be my first choice then the Glock 27
