She Had A Girlfriend.......
After finding my Chiefs Special girl I was feeling pretty good and just for giggles went to a few more gun shops to look at the eye candy.
In one of the pre-owned cases I saw a little lady who looked from the outside like she had been rode hard and put up wet one to many times.
Once I got my hands on her and got a feel for how she handled I knew I had another one of those girls that had been out to pasture for a while but not ridden much.
She was tight in all the right places and smooth in all the others although I knew some careful grooming would make this "older mare" into a real good for show, good for go pony.
Holster wear yes, but no burn rings on the cylinder front and very light rings inside the chambers. Recoil shield looked almost untouched.
Pulling the side plate showed years of neglect with over lubrication and moister.
BreakFree, emory cloth and elbo grease brought her back to where she was suppose to be and now if shes real good I may get her a new outfit (grips) like I did for her roomate the S&W Model 36.
She was born in 1974 which puts her at a very good age for me (ok that only applies to guns). She's a little "thicker" then my other new lady but variety is the spice of life.
Here she is. Ain't she sweet.

Very nice, OS, you're having a great run of luck lately.

Lightning strikes twice in the same place. That is a nice revolver for concealed carry.
A little thicker perhaps but it's all in the right places since she provides for six shots.

it looks like "bob the butcher". I will get it smoothed out soon. File marks left will be eliminated.

If you do not have to have a "brand new" gun and you know just enough to keep from getting burnt when buying used the deals are out there.
Lots of folks need money right now and these guns that have been laying around collecting rust and dust are out there.
Knowing current value is also important.

You just have to be in the right place at the right time.

If I play my cards right these girls will not have time to fight with each other.
