    Para LDA

Has anyone got any experience with the Para CCW? I just picked one up. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but that trigger is just too sweet. The only problem I've got is that it only had one mag, and I'm not sure which mags to get for it. I've got a couple of Full size 1911s and use shooting star 8 rounders for them, but they don't seem to operate the slide stop on the Para. Any input would be appreciated.

    Wilson

Which wilson mags do you use. The grip is a little shorter than full lenth, so standard mags stick out, but I don't think Officer's length mags would be long enough to seat. Does wilson make a mag between the two or is it actually Officer's length? I can fit all four finger on the grip and I think the Officer's model is shorter than that.

No the Para CCW is officers size, the Wilson number is 47 OX I believe. The Para CCW and CCO are both "Officer" size in grip, only the Para Carry is shorter by a 1/4"

I bought a CCW earlier this year and it is a sweet shooter. Very accurate and maneagable.

Did you buy yours new? Because they come with two magazines.

No it was not new, but it didn't look like it had been shot very much at all.

What did you pay for your Para if I might ask? I have three friends who swear by the Para Carry LDA. They are sweet firearms and I'm kicking around the idea of the Para Carry or Springfield XD in .45 SC if they come out with it first part of next year.

It is stainless...gotta shop around. It was an older model with the standard cocking serations, I wasn't to fond of the newer style with the agressigly grooved frontstrap or the cocking serations. I lucked out on the find, months of shopping around and I finally found one for sale in CT. at the right price.

Paid $700 OTD. Used, in very good shape. New style, with the textured front strap. Stainless.

I have a Para SSP LDA. I works very good. I never used the mags that came with it. I rebuilt them with a wilson kit right away because of Para's magazine reputation. I also use Wilscons and Ed Browns. The pistol has never failed me.
